Nice job by Tommy and Jim with the first race of the season. They even managed to dial up some nice weather. Big fields and fast racin'. Everybody seems to be lettin' off steam from a long winter. There was a minor incident with an accident and several ambulances on the course. Tommy handled it extremely well. As we came around for the bell lap he stopped us all at the start/ finish, got the vehicles off the course, then gave us two laps to finish up. It was the perfect solution that allowed for a safe finish. Everyone I spoke with agreed it was handled expertly.
